Rebirth of the Viking King

Chapter 78 3.1 There are fish in the North Sea

"There is a fish in the North Sea, and its name is Kun."

This is the first sentence that appears in the book.

This sentence comes from "Zhuangzi Xiaoyaoyou". Its author Zhuangzi is a representative figure of the "Taoist school" among hundreds of pre-Qin scholars.

The "Haoliang Debate" proposed by him ("The child is not a fish, he is happy with fish", "The child is not me, he knows I don't know the happiness of fish"), and "Zhuang Zhou's Dream of Butterflies" are still in the field of philosophy even after two thousand years. A hotly discussed topic.

Loki never expected that an ancient person whom he had learned about in Chinese textbooks would appear in this book. This immediately aroused his great interest. The holy light shined on him, and he continued to read while using a brush to copy out the words reflected by the light.

"During the Warring States Period, the Taoist school was at its peak. Zhuangzi was the ancestor of Taoism. In his early years, he flew with a sword and traveled throughout the nine states."

Taoist scriptures have quite familiar records about the giant beast "Kunpeng". This aroused the interest of Qin Shihuang. After he unified the world, he sent the Qi Refiners from all over the world to "Kill the Gods and Refiner Alchemy", vowing to kill all the old evil gods lurking in the dark places of Kyushu and bewitching the people outside the world.

And the two Kunpeng beasts rank first among them!

"Qi refiners traveled around the world, using the techniques of various schools of thought to search for the gods of the past. Among these ancient gods, the most difficult to find are the 'Kun' and 'Kun' that Zhuangzi once mentioned. 'Peng'!"

"So much so that until the death of the First Emperor, he was still expressing his regret for not finding Kunpeng in his posthumous edict."

Xiao Lu believes that this is an important reason why the First Emperor did not obtain eternal life in the end.

Below this text is a picture composed of light. This is not the "parallel perspective" picture of Tang Dynasty prints painted by Mo Yiquan. It's a bird's-eye view 3D graphic tilted at a 45-degree angle. The perspective proportions of the entire picture are extremely precise, depicting a creature as huge as a mountain range.

This animal has a head and appearance similar to that of a fish, but it also has six short claws like a turtle. On its back is a stretch of dark mountains. The most exaggerated thing is that there is a city obviously composed of regular buildings and streets among the mountains!

"Leviathan" saw this image appear, and Jerome next to Loki whispered softly.

“Job, verse 41”

"Its belly is as hard as tiles, leaving vast abyss wherever it goes. Its eyes are as hot as the sun, and thick smoke spurts out of its nostrils. It has nothing to fear from anyone who is brave. It has nothing to fear from anyone who is tall. , it despises everything.”

"It is the mountains walking on the land of the Holy Lord, and it is the Leviathan that crushes all things!"

As a book scribe of the Holy Episcopal Church, Jerome is very knowledgeable about all kinds of books in the church. Loki looked at him hesitantly, and Jerome gently pointed at the light picture with his finger and said, "I have seen this picture before."

"This painting comes from the ancient Hebrew book "Job" a thousand years ago. This method of using light and perspective to paint was passed down from the Greek scholar Socrates. Only his apprentices knew how to use this method to paint on a flat surface. Draw three-dimensional patterns with precise proportions.”

"And until recently, the Book of Isaiah, which was written about 700 years ago, also contains records of Leviathan."

After thinking for a while, Jerome sang in a low voice: "On that day, Jehovah will use his awakening fire to punish Leviathan, and drive it from the land belonging to mankind into the vast ocean, and then the world will be frozen. The end of the coast."

"This is a passage from the Bible story. It probably means that seven hundred years ago when the Lord Jehovah was alive, Leviathan tried to climb from the sea to the land, but was driven to the end of the world by the Lord with a flaming giant sword. ”

Loki looked solemn. Not only the Holy Bishop, but also similar creatures are mentioned in the ancient legends of the Vikings. They call this marine creature as big as a piece of land "Whale Island".

When it swims, it is a whale, when it stops, it is an island.

This thing appeared several times thousands of years ago during the War of the Gods. Even God King Odin had no good way to deal with such a huge creature like a mountain.

The gods in the Hall of Valor, like the Holy Lord Jehovah, can only be exiled but cannot be completely destroyed.

In the following pages, the story is told in more detail.

The pre-Qin Qi masters invested a lot of manpower and material resources in order to capture Kunpeng. However, the huge size of this creature is only one aspect, it also moves very fast. The method of "locating cities by stars" commonly used by Mohists and Taoists is very effective when looking for immovable cities or ancient tombs.

But looking for this kind of "Kun" that can travel 30,000 miles a day is more than enough.

In the Qin Dynasty, the capture of the two creatures Kun and Peng was not completed until the death of Qin Shihuang. Qi practitioners wandering around the world go to heaven and earth, but they only have a very limited number of sighting experiences. After seeing its huge size with their own eyes, some stepped forward with swords, but were massacred by the "outer gods" in the city behind the giant beast.

There are also some who reluctantly blend into the city. But the images and written records left behind are very rare. "Xiao Lu" of the Tang Dynasty who was responsible for compiling this book spent half his life reading through the ancient scrolls and found only two animal skin paintings left by the pre-Qin Qi practitioners.

The first depicts a majestic city.

The city adopts a reflective layout like the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. The buildings and streets in the city are all dark basalt-like colors, almost blending into the mountains behind them.

In the central gathering place of the street, a huge black pyramid stood. The pyramid resembles the stepped shape of the Mayan and Aztec civilizations, with a black figure standing on each level.

Each figure has a huge eye painted on its head.

There are three words written below this picture: 荍荍国国.

The other one has a completely different style of painting than this one. This image has only one color. red.

This is the sleeve robe of a garment. After being completely torn off the Taoist robe, it was drawn with red ink similar to blood.

The monochrome images are gritty and raw. This picture depicts a cave. Several explorers holding torches walked in front, and their firelight illuminated all kinds of strange animal bones in the cave. The proportions of these bones were obviously larger than those of ordinary creatures, and one of the animal bones, Loki, opened his eyes and took a closer look.

He actually recognized this thing!

Loki clearly remembered that when he was submerged in the water, he once saw a huge sea snake staring at him with huge pupils outside the bubble film. At that time, a long line of luminous jellyfish passed by the edge of the outer wall, and he saw the head of the sea snake.

Both the scale and shape are exactly the same as the skull in the picture.

Both pictures describe the city sitting on the back of "Kun", but their painting styles are completely different.

Below the second picture is written "The law of sealing the demon Zuowei, the last work of Feng Huzi"

These words once again gave him a very familiar feeling. Seal Demon Zuo Weilu took out the authentic copy of "Sinking City Volumes" compiled by Mo Yiquan, which was taken from "Sinking City". He looked through it carefully and found this name.

The demon sealing right guard law is the elder "Xuan Hezi" who died under the ancient evergreen sword.

The demon-sealed Zuo Weilu who entered the Submerged City with them was none other than Feng Huzi!

That day, he left Gu Changqing, Xuan Hezi and alchemist Shen Gonghe behind, and then led the four of them to break through the sea water and fly out of the city with their swords!

Combined with the three people appearing in this picture, Loki subconsciously felt that these were most likely the three pre-Qin Qi masters who escaped from the submerged city! They went out to find other gods and more efficiently refine elixirs for Qin Shihuang.

If these figures are them

Doesn't that mean that the country on Kun's back should not be far away from Scandinavia?
